Creating your profile is an important step in engaging with the AC Connect community. When you have a complete profile, people will get to know more about you and discover what you have in common. They will be more likely to reach out to you and to respond when you reach out to them. 

A good place to start engagement is the My Connections menu on your profile page. 

  • Contacts: You can see each user you have connected with by sending invitations they have accepted or by accepting invitations from them. AC Connect automatically recommends people to you in the “People you may know” area to help you connect with other members. 

  • Networks: AC Connect automatically groups you into networks based on a common characteristic, such as your amputation type or where you live. Click a network’s Members button on your Networks page to see everyone who belongs to it and connect easily with others in the group. 

  • Communities: The communities you belong to are listed here. Whether you are viewing an individual community or the All Communities page, click Request to Join to seek permission to become a member. 

  • Following: This lists the content you have followed. You can follow content by clicking on the Follow toggle on the right side of the page when you are viewing it. This allows you to dive right into subjects that interest you. 

Your inbox on your profile page also helps you to stay in touch. It stores the messages you receive from other members and from AC Connect. The community makes engagement simple and impactful.
