One of the most valuable aspects of AC Connect is right there in the name: Connect. This community is where you can meet other people with limb loss or limb difference, caregivers, health providers, and more.
You can come to AC Connect to talk with them, share ideas, get and give advice, and get the most out of your experience. You can connect with other members through your inbox on your profile page. Also, the Discussion Posts selection on the Browse menu at the top of your homepage will take you to a safe place for the free exchange of ideas and information.
To post a message to a community, you also can navigate to that community, click Discussion and then click Post New Message.
If you subscribe to a community’s discussion, you will receive email notifications about new posts per your subscription type (such as real time or daily digest). You can participate in a variety of ways through these emails.
You can also set up the discussion page in the way that best suits you. You can see all posts that are available to you or only those from your communities. You can see the most recent updates first or the ones with the most replies.
And you can do this with the comfort of knowing you are in a safe space. AC Connect community managers moderate the discussions and act when needed.
So you choose how you participate. If you want to see what others have to say, you can do it that way. Or maybe you want to get involved in what people are talking about. AC Connect wants you to be in control of your experience here.
